A fruit salad is a very easy-to-make dish that is perfect as a side dish or as a refreshing snack. Also, it can be a perfect dish to have for breakfast as it is very quick to make in the morning. You only need to mix together different types of fruits, and you are ready to go!

But what combination of fruits is best?

This Mediterranean fruit salad contains delicious types of fruit that grow in the Mediterranean region, in countries such as Italy and Greece. I have added mint leaves to this fruit salad recipe to make the flavor even better.

What Do You Need?

To make this fruit salad, you need 5 different ingredients:

  • Apple: you can choose whichever type of Apple you prefer. In this recipe, I decided to use a Jonagold apple, which is a very sweet one.
  • Plums: one of the oldest types of fruit and it is a very delicious type of fruit
  • Orange
  • Fresh mint leaves: this will add a very sweet and unique flavor to your fruit salad

Instructions

You can make this Mediterranean fruit salad by first cutting the fruit into small pieces and picking the mint leaves.

Then, you mix the fruit and the mint leaves in a small bowl.

A fruit salad is one of the most versatile dishes and you can make changes to it by changing the fruit that you use. One great way to change the fruit salad is by adding seasonal fruits!

Furthermore, a tip when you want to serve this fruit salad as a side dish is to cover it and store it in the fridge until you put it on the dinner table. That way, the fruit will stay fresh for longer.

Also, you could sprinkle some of the juice from the orange on the apple to prevent it from turning brown, which will make the fruit salad look more delicious when serving it.
